This course will explore the particular features of private law cases in Family Court.

From her experience as an expert witness and as a trainer for judges in private law, Jacqueline Siner will cover the following:

  • The legal context of private law cases.
  • The role of Cafcass
  • What courts expect of the child psychologist.
  • Planning the assessment.
  • Preparing the report. 

Jacqueline will particularly emphasise the opportunities private law cases present for a creative and risk taking approach in order to achieve the best outcome for the child.
